The One-Armed Bandit

Chapel Life welcomes Larry.

Players challenge The Bandit.

Are you ready for The Challenge?

The Challenge
In 1992, Johnny Miller kindly hosted a charity tournament on Larry's behalf to raise money for his golf prosthesis. Johnny stood on a par three hitting a shot with each group of golfers and added a new element to the tournament. Now Larry, in return, has created The "One-Armed Bandit" Challenge to give something back to the golf world. The "One-Armed Bandit" has taken his Challenge to a new level by spreading his story across the country. Are you ready for the challenge?

The Bandit will greet each group of players on a designated par three and give a brief demonstration of his unique golf prosthetic hand. The Bandit will proceed to hit a shot, challenging the players to knock it closer. Any player who beats The Bandit will win a sleeve of balls and a Texana Cigar. At the end of the tournament the player closest to the pin will enjoy a gift certificate to a fine restaurant or pro shop. And if a hole-in-one is made your guest walks away with two Masters tickets to the Par three tournament and practice round and many more prizes. The Challenge ranges from 100 to 150 yards, so everyone has a chance to win!

It is very simple to have The Bandit participate in your event—even at the last minute. All he needs is a sponsorship, a par three, and that's it! He furnishes his own table, chairs, tent, prizes, signage, etc. No extra help is needed.

Sponsors will receive great exposure and recognition before, during, and after the event. The Bandit will represent the charity, the sponsor, and the golf course to the best of his ability.
